The Hillsborough Jr. Raiders encourages our players to stay healthy by participating in activities throughout the year.

 

TACKLE & FLAG FOOTBALL Summer Conditioning
All Jr Raider tackle & flag football players who have registered for the upcoming Fall season are invited to attend our Free July Summer Training Workout Sessions.  These sessions will focus on strength, speed and the fundamentals of football.  The goal is to prepare players for the upcoming football season.   We will be introducing the New Standards in Heads Up Football.  All players and coaches are strongly recommend to attend these sessions.  All coaches will be expected to know and teach the new Standards in Heads Up football and all players will be expected to learn and use them.

When:  Every Monday and Wednesday during July (2020 Dates - July 6 - July 29)
Time:  6:30-8:00pm
Where:  Triangle Road Football Complex
What to Wear: light weight shorts, t-shirt and cleats (NO tackle equipment)
What to Bring:  Large Jug of water.  (Please have your child start hydrating before they arrive.  They should eat a light meal least an hour before and not right before arriving.)
Who should attend:  All new and returning Jr Raiders tackle & flag players who have registered for the upcoming Fall season.   All adults who may coach this fall should also attend.  It is highly recommended for those who wish to make the Varsity and JV football teams.  

 

JR Knights Club

Rutgers University is offering FREE Rutgers Football tickets through the Junior Knights Club. Membership is FREE and is open to children 12 and under. Benefits include FREE tickets to the football home opener against Howard University,tickets to the mens basketball home opener,additional discounts for select games,a Junior Knights Club card, and FREE access to some Rutgers Wrestling,Lacrosse,Soccer,Gymnastics, and Womens Basketball games. High School Summer Football Camp Schedule

Hillsborough High School Youth Football Camp 
Objective: To develop basic football skills at all positions under the instruction of the HHS coaching staff and players, while having fun. The camp will feature individual and group instructional sessions, as well as contests, games, and special guest speakers.
Ages: Grades 3-8
Date: June 26-29
Times: 9:00-3:00
Cost: $180 ($10 discount for Dukes and Jr. Raiders players)

Raider Passing Camp 
Objective: To receive instruction and practice in all elements of the passing game from the HHS staff, among others, who have run successful passing camps throughout the Northeast. Passing, catching, route running, protection, pass rush and coverage skills will be covered. Athletes will have the opportunity to participate in meeting and film study sessions, and compete in 1-on-1 and 7-on-7 drills.

Ages: Grades 7-10
Times: 9:00-1:00

Raider Lineman Camp 
Objective: To receive instruction from our high school coaches and athletes in the fundamentals of offensive and defensive line play.  Campers will work on stance, start, blocking progressions, block-shedding, pass-rushing, footwork, and balance, among other things.
Date: July 24-27
Ages: Grades 7-10
Times: 9:00-1:00
Cost: $165 ($15 Discount for Dukes and Jr. Raiders players)

HILLSBOROUGH TRACK & FIELD CAMP

Hillsborough Track & Field Camp, directed by Rich Refi, Hillsborough High School Head Girls Track & Field Coach, will offer an introduction to all events for any boy or girl entering grades 1-9.  Emphasis will be on basic skills as well as teamwork during relay events.  All participants will have an opportunity to compete in events throughout the week.  Awards will be given to all!
