The pre-comp program is offered to children in grades K-2 who may be interested in doing competition cheer. This allows them to “try on" competition cheer and see if it's a good fit for them. Games will still be cheered with their grade-based recreation team.
The girls will be expected to perform a 2 minute and 30 second routine containing dance, stunt, tumble and jump elements. We will have coaches and junior coaches on-site to teach them the routine and basic elements of competition cheer.
The team will have practice ONE night a week starting in September. We plan to attend about three (3) local competitions throughout the season. Competition schedules are not released until the Fall, but competition dates are typically between the end of October-mid December. Coaches will provide competition information as soon as possible.
Please note because there are a limited amount of practices before the first competition, your daughter is expected to attend all practices in order for the team to be ready to compete. Practices will be held locally, mostly at Auten Road Intermediate School or another in-town location, but there will be a few practices at Evolution Training Center in Bridgewater so the girls can get used to being on a competition mat.
The cost for the pre-comp program is $100 and will be collected at the first meeting. This will cover gym fees and a stunt clinic. There is one additional tentative Evolution practice on the calendar for the end of the season.
Copies of birth certificates are required and must be turned into your coach by the first practice.
